Ce que couvre cette vidéo

Leon Schulz demonstrates a man-overboard recovery technique using the POB-NET, a specialized rescue net designed for retrieving individuals from the water.0:04 The procedure requires securing the net to the boat's halyard to provide a mechanical advantage for lifting.0:29 Once the net is deployed over the side, the person in the water enters the mesh, allowing the crew to hoist them back onto the deck using the winch. This method minimizes the physical strain on the crew compared to manual hauling and provides a stable platform for the person being recovered. The training emphasizes the importance of clear communication and rapid deployment of the retrieval gear during an emergency. Proper attachment of the halyard to the net ensures the load is distributed evenly during the lift.
