Ce que couvre cette vidéo

The restoration of the 1910 gaff-rigged cutter Tally Ho reaches a major milestone with the permanent stepping of the lower mast. Preparation for the lift involved mounting bronze spreader brackets, installing spreader lights, and routing wiring for radar and VHF antennas.1:55 The crew also prepared steam-bent ash mast hoops, which required installation onto the spar before the mast was seated in the partners.11:16 Following maritime tradition, the team placed two coins under the mast step: a 1910 British silver shilling to honor the boat’s original launch year and a 2023 American gold $10 coin to commemorate the current rebuild in the United States.8:34 A crane lowered the mast into position, where it was secured with temporary wedges at the partners while riggers began plumbing the spar and attaching standing rigging.13:44 The project now moves toward installing the topmast, boom, bowsprit, and gaff, alongside ongoing interior and systems work.18:00
