The owners of a Tartan Marine 34 C, Haraya, modified their galley and salon to increase storage and workspace. Additionally, the galley received a new countertop made from imitation cultured marble sourced from Home Depot.7:32 The crew templated the surface using eighth-inch furring strips and a hot glue gun before securing the material with silicone.7:16 This upgrade allowed for the installation of a deeper sink and recessed latches on the refrigerator lid.7:54 To compensate for the omission of fiddles on the new countertop, the crew uses a heat-resistant silicone drying mat to prevent items from sliding while cooking.9:16
