Cosa tratta questo video

The Tayana 47 center cockpit cutter-rigged sloop Nandji - Frothlyfe requires specific upgrades to transition from a coastal cruiser to an ocean-ready vessel for an Indian Ocean crossing.Watch The crew plans to replace the existing standing rigging with new compact wire, citing the need for structural integrity on a 16-to-18-tonne displacement boat. They intend to install a Hydrovane on the port side of the transom to provide both a mechanical wind-vane self-steering system and a backup rudder. The vessel features cable steering, which the owners prefer over hydraulic systems for its increased responsiveness and tactile feedback. Deck-level modifications include sanding and re-corking the teak decks and maintaining the Maxwell 220 windlass, which handles a larger anchor upgrade. The interior layout includes a V-berth, a dedicated cabin for Tallulah, and two heads. The saloon houses a 2,000-amp-hour lithium battery bank and provides over six feet of headroom. The crew utilizes Starlink for connectivity and relies on cockpit-led running rigging to facilitate solo or two-person sail handling.
