His best race result was fourth place in the 2016 Helly Hansen Skagen Race aboard a Dehler 38 he also owned with Morten Abel.3:33 He sailed to 82.2 degrees north, roughly 70–80 nautical miles north of Rossøya on Svalbard, naming his boat Kap Laura after a mountain visible from that position. He is now looking at a Heymann 42 and a Moody 54 for long-distance cruising, favoring a deck saloon for offshore family passages.
