Sven Yrvind is building a high-latitude cruiser called X-lex and waiting on three parts deliveries, one of which arrives during this update.0:14 The delivered item is a Mini 3 Plus satellite communicator, a torque-screw No. 8 fitting that mounts into the boat and connects to the main electrical supply; once set up, it will send voice messages and pictures. Yrvind also plans to wrap a backup unit in aluminum foil as a Faraday cage to protect it from lightning strikes — 50 meters of foil is sourced from a local store with help from a friend named Evelina. Two other awaited items have not yet arrived: heavy-duty corrosion-resistant metal fittings whose mating pieces are missing and must be sourced the next day. A voltmeter installation is also pending, requiring Yrvind to retrieve tools and wiring he had stowed away. A mattress is on order. A visit to a drugstore with a contact named Editha rounds out the errands. No navigation or sea-trial content appears; the focus is pre-departure outfitting and parts procurement for the X-lex build.
