He plans to have the starter repaired by a local automotive shop. The vessel is currently undergoing maintenance, including the replacement of a 150% Genoa with a 100% headsail and the fabrication of new canvas covers. The crew is utilizing local contacts in Vitória to explore regional tourist sites while awaiting these repairs. Proper diagnosis of a seized starter motor involves verifying that the engine flywheel rotates independently to rule out internal engine damage.
