Cosa tratta questo video

Marco Antônio Amaral, known locally as Marquinho do Algodão, runs Marco Polo Náutica, a charter and boat management company based in Paraty, Brazil, operating primarily across Paraty, Angra dos Reis, and Ilha Grande, with occasional charters extending to Rio de Janeiro and Ilhabela.10:57 The fleet consists of Lagoon catamarans from 38 to 62 feet and Fountaine Pajot models from 44 to 48 feet, plus a Beneteau and an Aladim 30.10:18 Overnight charters accommodate six to eight guests; day charters can take up to ten, with an extra crew member added above that threshold.51:47 Services include boat delivery anywhere in Brazil or from Europe, pre-purchase surveys, and fleet management for absentee owners.7:14 Amaral describes his client base as referral-driven, predominantly non-sailors seeking comfort and service rather than performance sailing.12:09 Each charter begins with a safety briefing covering swimming ability, passenger vulnerabilities such as children and elderly guests, and onboard rules — particularly marine toilet use and fresh-water conservation.47:53 Optional onboard chefs source local seafood directly from fishing boats mid-charter.27:18 Amaral has lived for 14 years on Ilha do Algodão, a largely forested island a 30-minute boat ride from Paraty, and built the business organically without paid advertising.22:08 He declines offshore passages, citing crew-compatibility problems in confined spaces over multi-week voyages.40:47
