Departing from Dockan in Malmö, the crew navigates light winds and shifting conditions toward the island of Ven, where they cycle the western coast. The trip continues to Vedbæk, Denmark, where they encounter 30-knot gusts that force a layover for a visit to the Bakken amusement park. They later sail to Flakfortet, a man-made military sea fort built between 1910 and 1915, now serving as a destination for boaters with a hostel and restaurant. The crew manages the boat under headsail alone in gusty conditions along the Danish coast. Facing a forecast of persistent rain, they decide to cut the trip short and return to Malmö. The Bavaria 33 provides comfortable accommodations for the family of three during their short-term coastal cruising.
