CAPTAIN ZIANE · vídeo

O que este vídeo aborda

Captain Ziane arrives in Syracuse, Sicily at around 0800 on the 31st after a three-day solo passage, exhausted and ready to sleep.0:20 He ties up at a public quay, notes the anchorage as a viable alternative, and finds a flying fish on deck that likely landed during the crossing.1:07 Ashore, he explores the old town of Syracuse — cobblestone streets, ruins, and a tourist-heavy waterfront — and tests two pizzerias, settling on a four-cheese pizza from a spot he identifies by watching locals carry the same box.7:26 Back aboard, he discovers the freshwater accumulator tank is leaking from multiple points; having already been repaired once, he replaces it entirely, sourcing the correct-size unit from one of four ship-chandler stops in Syracuse.9:56 He also replaces both water pumps and cleans mold from the bilge area.9:38 A separate session covers upgrading cheap tuna lures: the stock treble hooks bend by hand and the split rings open under load, causing lost octopus and fish; he replaces all hooks and split rings with quality hardware and rigs a snap-clip for fast lure changes.10:49 He decides to stay an extra day because the city is too good to leave quickly, though he notes the dock water is poor quality and expensive.9:38
