O que este vídeo aborda
Beer cans stored in the bilge of With Vampires fractured under their own weight, flooding the bilge with sour, fermented liquid and producing a persistent foul smell throughout the boat.0:56 The crew spent roughly six hours tracking the odor — washing bedding, searching for rotting food — before finally lifting the bilge hatch and finding the source.0:33 Multiple cans had burst; the bilge pump had shifted sideways.1:42 The cleanup required hosing down the bilge, back-flushing from the mast forward, and hauling out all remaining cans.7:34 The crew credits the idea to a crew member named Matthew and attributes the method to the sailing channel Delos.4:32 The boat is in La Paz, Mexico, approaching the new year, with a target of heading west by April. A haul-out is planned to address a corroded prop shaft where the PSS seal sits, plus a cutlass bearing and engine mounts — funded partly by selling a Miata.18:54 A grocery run by bicycle covers local infrastructure in La Paz, and an Office Depot stop yields a Logitech C920 Pro webcam for about 85 dollars.18:06 Storing beer cans loose in the bilge risks can failure and a bilge contamination that takes hours to clean.
