Charging this setup does not require choosing between series or parallel wiring; instead, use a multi-output battery charger or an inverter-charger connected to the house bank. A battery combiner then distributes the charge to the separate engine battery bank. This separation ensures the engine battery remains isolated from the house loads. Proper installation involves dedicated outputs for each bank or a combiner to manage the charging current efficiently across the entire system.
