Catamaran Mistertong · vídeo

O que este vídeo aborda

Djé, Nad, and crew aboard catamaran Mistertong make a short New Year's weekend loop between Île à Cristal and Bécoué, sailing in 8–10 knots with full main and genoa.1:57 Departing Bécoué, they anchor overnight at Île à Cristal — a snorkeling stop they rate highly — then return to Bécoué for New Year's Eve, anchoring in sand over seagrass in a less crowded position than before.18:52 Underway, the mainsail halyard jams behind a shroud fitting at the top of the mast, requiring a crew member to free it aloft before full sail can be set.15:10 The anchor chain wraps around a coral head on departure from Île à Cristal, forcing Djé to dive and guide the chain clear while Nad manages the helm.14:44 On deck, Djé works on hull repairs: sanding UV-degraded filler applied months earlier, applying a second coat of mastic, and filling fastener holes near a stanchion base, with the goal of reinstalling the stanchion and lifeline before or upon arrival at Sainte-Anne.19:52 He also begins splicing a new bridle (patte d'oie) from 22mm three-strand polyamide with a stainless thimble, replacing an older, shorter bridle that chafed against the forestay chainplates.6:40 Nad paddles a stand-up paddleboard for the first time solo, filming with a phone after the GoPro left with the dive team.10:18
