O que este vídeo aborda
Javi and Samuel prepare to depart Marina Lanzarote on March 9 for a passage toward Madeira and eventually the Iberian Peninsula, specifically targeting Faro, Portugal, or Cádiz.0:50 The crew plans to navigate around a large low-pressure system moving toward the peninsula, though they may adjust their route based on evolving weather conditions.Watch Javi notes that the hull of his boat, Regina, has not been hauled out for cleaning in 18 months, resulting in significant drag and reduced speed.3:34 Depending on the vessel's performance during the transit, the crew may stop in Porto Santo to haul out and clean the hull before continuing to the mainland.3:52 For communication and weather updates, the crew will use Garmin inReach satellite devices, relying on a friend on land to relay weather reports via SMS.2:44 Javi is currently investigating methods to receive GRIB weather files on the inReach, which lacks native support for these files, while also considering a future transition to Starlink.2:09
