O que este vídeo aborda
Javi and Carlos begin an Atlantic crossing departing from La Palma, intending to pass near El Hierro before heading east.1:06 To avoid a large North Atlantic low-pressure system, the crew plans a southerly route that maintains a prudent distance from the Cape Verde islands.1:25 Carlos, serving as the dedicated sail trim expert for the passage, has configured the sail plan for downwind performance.0:18 The boat is currently sailing wing-on-wing with the genoa poled out on one side and the staysail poled out on the opposite side using the boom.0:33 This setup provides a stable and comfortable ride during the first day of the voyage.0:11 The crew monitors the weather and intends to adjust their heading further south to navigate around the storm.1:19
