Sailing Yabá · vídeo

O que este vídeo aborda

Ben and MP prepare the deck of their boat, Yabá, for sanding and varnishing by removing all equipment and cushions from the pilot house and deck.2:36 To strip the old finish, Ben uses a heavy-duty grinder with a flat-pull technique to avoid gouging the wood, while MP follows with a palm sander for detail work.5:17 They encounter difficulty grinding through old epoxy deck caulking, which behaves like rubber, and switch to a hand planer to remove the bulk of the material before finishing with the grinder.7:33 Rain interrupts the work, forcing the crew to pause the project and shift to a Q&A session while decorating a Christmas tree.15:49 During the discussion, they address boat life, including the benefits of their Battle Born lithium battery bank and the decision to keep their existing sails for now despite needing repairs.26:26 They plan to resume deck work once the weather clears to meet a self-imposed Christmas deadline for finishing the boat's exterior.30:26
