Additional projects include polishing stainless steel toe rails and the arch, though he notes that excessive heat during grinding causes the stainless steel to warp. He prepares for an upcoming Atlantic crossing by acquiring a Viking Rescue Pro life raft and a Sailrite sewing machine.
