What this video covers
The crew of Wind Therapy encountered a fouled anchor while departing Guadalupe, discovering a 12-to-14-foot tree trunk wrapped around their anchor chain and ground tackle.16:02 To clear the obstruction, the crew deployed a spare anchor to hold the vessel’s position in 35 feet of water.15:44 A neighboring French sailor and the crew of the vessel Symphony assisted with the underwater recovery.18:35 Divers used a rope to secure the tree trunk, allowing the crew to create enough slack in the chain to pry the anchor free from the wood.19:55 The recovery process took approximately two hours of diving.26:05 The crew also addressed a recurring chafe issue on their main sail's first reefing line, identifying a design flaw at the gooseneck that caused the line to rub against the boom.0:55
