The Cabo RICO 56 is a cutter-rigged, long-keeled sailboat designed by C. W. Paine and built by Cabo Rico Yachts from 2003 to the present. With an LOA of 17.1 meters, a beam of 4.8 meters, and a displacement of 23,269 kg, it is also available as a center cockpit ketch. Aboard *Hold Fast!*, the S/V SeaSprite, a Cabo RICO 38, completed a summer coastal passage through New England, stopping in Boston, Marblehead, Salem, Gloucester, Rockport, Newport, and Cape Henlopen.watch The crew of S/V SeaSprite transited the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) from North Carolina to Virginia, navigating delays at bridges and locks, and later encountered dense fog and autopilot failure while sailing from Charleston toward North Carolina, requiring hand-steering and contingency planning for fuel.3:32 The vessel maintained speeds of six to seven knots in flat water on the Chesapeake Bay and achieved eight knots entering the channel at Harrington Harbor under full canvas.15:47 Preparations for a northward passage from Florida to the Chesapeake Bay included using FastSeas for route planning to leverage the Gulf Stream and avoid standing waves.2:21
