Design & history

The Carlson 30 is a mahogany strip-plank sailboat designed by Dick Carlson, with 10 built—6 exported to the US and 4 remaining in Spain. Fiberglass versions were later built in Canada as the North Coast 30 and Windward 30, though the designer had no knowledge of these later boats.

10 boats built total: 6 exported to the US and 4 remained in Spain. Fiberglass versions were built in Canada, first as the NORTH COAST 30, then as the WINDWARD 30. Designer Dick Carlson stated he had no knowledge of these later boats or builders.
