The Dufour Yachts 455 GRAND LARGE is a fractional sloop designed by Umberto Felci, built by Dufour Yachts from 2006 to the present. It measures 13.8 meters LOA, with a 4.3-meter beam, 2.0-meter draft, and 10425 kg displacement. The hull features a fin with a bulb and a spade rudder. Aboard *Proxima Vita*, a Dufour 455, the owner Stephen prepared for an Atlantic crossing, having purchased the boat four months prior to sail it to New Zealand.9:04 His father, Kiwi, recounted a mast-climbing accident on the boat that resulted in a collapsed lung due to a miscommunication during descent.10:12
