The Bavaria Yachts 44 VISION is a fractional sloop designed by J&J Yacht Design and built by Bavaria Yachts from 2007 to 2011. It has a fin keel with a spade rudder, measures 13.7 meters LOA, 4.4 meters beam, 1.8 meters draft, and displaces 10,400 kg. An optional deep keel increases draft to 2.1 meters. Aboard *Adventureman Dan*, a 44-foot Vision catamaran named *Umbono* used its elevated helm to spot coral heads and read water depth while spearfishing in the Bahamas.17:32 The crew of *Sailing Big Lost* purchased a Vision 444 catamaran, formerly named *Solangea*, in Florida after a survey, rigging inspection, and sea trial revealed minor maintenance needs.0:48 They later identified the Vision 444 as a target boat for its balance of sailing performance and livability, favoring its foam-core construction, narrow hulls, and single-handed sailing capability.3:06
