The J Boats J/111 is a 36-foot fractional sloop designed by Alan Johnstone and built by J Boats from 2010 to the present. It features a fin keel with a bulb and a spade rudder. Peter Gustafsson campaigned a J/111 in international offshore regattas, including the Fastnet Race, Middle Sea Race, and Aegean 600, as part of a 15-year racing effort that also included a J/109.13:34 Gustafsson found the J/111 to be a fast, sporty boat, but noted it struggled to rate competitively under established handicaps, leading him to transition to a J/99 for double-handed offshore racing.4:44 The J/111 is part of a fleet of high-performance vessels seen in races like the Chicago to Mackinac Island sailboat race.10:51
