What the fleet has seen

The J Boats J/111, as the fleet has seen it

Derived from the videos the fleet has analysed of this model. ▶ marks open the moment aboard.

The J Boats J/111 is a 2010-present fractional sloop designed by Alan Johnstone and built by J Boats, featuring a fin with bulb and spade rudder, an LOA of 11.1 meters, a beam of 3.3 meters, a draft of 2.2 meters, and a displacement of 4250 kg. Peter Gustafsson campaigned a J/111 in international offshore regattas, including the Fastnet Race, Middle Sea Race, and Aegean 600, before transitioning to a J/99.17:00 Gustafsson found that shipping a 36-foot boat internationally often led to delays or cancellations, advocating for boats transportable by truck for greater flexibility and lower costs.16:32 The J/111 is among the high-performance vessels that compete in races like the Chicago to Mackinac Island sailboat race.3:49
