The Lagoon 60 is a fractional sloop catamaran, built by Lagoon from 2024, with an LOA of 18.3 meters, a beam of 9.9 meters, and a draft of 1.6 meters. Designed by VPLP Design, with exterior styling by Patrick le Quement and interiors by Nauta Design, it displaces 34,600 kg. Lagoon, a division of the Beneteau Group, has produced over 7,000 catamarans since 1984, holding an 18% global market share. The brand transitioned to luxury cruising with its first 55-foot model in 1987 and became a mainstream manufacturer with the 1999 introduction of the Lagoon 380.1:22 While some earlier models like the 420 Hybrid and 450 faced reliability and structural issues, Lagoon maintains a large service network and is a dominant force in the global charter fleet.9:34 A Lagoon 60 successfully transited the narrow 20-meter-wide Maupiha'a pass in French Polynesia, navigating a four-to-five-knot current and maintaining a minimum depth of 12 to 14 feet despite its 1.5-meter draft.2:52
