The Fountaine Pajot Lucia 40 is a 40-foot fractional sloop catamaran built from 2015 to 2019, designed by Berret-Racoupeau Yacht Design. It features an integrated cockpit and salon layout for social interaction, with a low boom height for easier sail maintenance.1:36 The helm station includes electric winches, a chart plotter, and engine controls.3:29 The deck incorporates a forward trampoline, sunbathing cushions, and a rigid bimini with three integrated solar panels.7:25 Aboard SAWLORS, the interior of a Maestro version showed a master suite with a dedicated desk and separate shower, plus two guest cabins with individual air conditioning and USB ports.4:11 The electrical system uses Victron components for automated battery management. The Lucia 40 offers a compact alternative to larger catamarans while maintaining comfort and interior volume. Its successor, the Isla 40, features a redesigned hull and a mast positioned forward to keep the interior dinette clear.1:41 A Lucia 40 completed a 4,000-mile Pacific crossing from Panama to the Marquesas alongside a monohull, arriving only one day later.3:28
