The Lagoon 380 is a fractional sloop catamaran, designed by Van Peteghem and Lauriot-Prevost, built by Jeanneau and CNB from 2000 to the present. It measures 11.6 meters LOA with a 6.5-meter beam and 1.1-meter draft, displacing 7259 kg. The Lagoon 380 became a mainstream success for Lagoon, selling approximately 1,000 units over two decades. Aboard *Sailing Doodles*, a chartered Lagoon 380 maintained speeds of seven to eight knots in 22 knots of wind during a 15-mile passage in Greece.2:05 The crew of *Sailing Doodles* noted that the small chain locker on the Lagoon 380 requires manual flaking of the anchor chain to prevent piling.7:58 The Lagoon 380 features a mezzanine helm station for single-handed maneuvering and docking, and its flared hull design increases interior volume in the forward cabins. During sea trials, the boat maintained 7.5 knots on a beam reach in 19 knots of apparent wind and reached 8.3 knots under power.14:39 The primary electric winch for halyards and sheets appears slightly undersized for the rig.
