The Newport 30-1 is a Masthead Sloop designed by Gary Mull and built by Lindsay Plastics Capital Yachts Inc. and Capital Yachts Corp. between 1968 and 1973. It measures 9.1 meters LOA, with a 3.2-meter beam, 1.4-meter draft, and 3401 kg displacement, featuring a fin keel with a spade rudder. Aboard *Living For Sail*, a 30-foot Newport in Bellingham received bottom maintenance, including a scuff-sand using a Mirka dustless sander and resealing a through-hull transducer with TotalBoat sealant.14:46
