The Ovni 43 is a 12.9-meter aluminum masthead sloop designed by Philippe Briand and built by Alubat between 1991 and 2000. It features a centerboard hull with a 2.5-meter draft and displaces 8,499 kg. Aboard *A Son de Mar*, Joaquín "Joaco" Morán keeps his Ovni 43, *Pirabán*, in Ribadeo, sailing the Rías Bajas and Rías Altas with his wife, and completed a 2005 passage to the Azores.3:55
