The Spindrift 46 was built by Formosa Yachts (1980-1984) using the same molds as the Formosa 46, sold in the US for Bristol Yachts of Newport Beach, CA, and marketed in Australia as the Hillier/Peterson 46.
Built using the same molds as the Formosa 46. Designer Doug Peterson filed a lawsuit against R. Hillier over the project; the suit was shelved after Hillier's death.
Built by Formosa Yachts from 1980 to 1984 using the Formosa 46 molds. R. Hillier of Brisbane, Australia oversaw construction. Intended for US sale through Bristol Yachts of Newport Beach, CA. For the Australian market the boats were called the Hillier/Peterson 46.
