Qué cubre este vídeo
Adam and Luke address multiple mechanical and structural failures on their boat while transiting Fiji. After a 600-mile passage from Samoa to Savu Savu, the crew identifies a persistent diesel leak caused by faulty fuel lines and leaking water separators, which they repair by installing a brass T-piece and tightening the separator drain nuts. To address cold-starting issues, they adjust the engine valve clearances to 0.2 mm. The crew also plans to build a protective box for their 400-amp-hour lithium battery bank, which is currently exposed near the engine. During a subsequent 118-mile passage attempt toward Suva, the crew navigates a narrow reef cut into Ford Harbour to avoid unfavorable winds. While sailing toward Taveuni, the mainsail suffers a significant tear due to UV degradation caused by an undersized lazy bag. The crew performs a temporary patch repair on the sail while planning for a full replacement upon reaching Australia.
