The journey concludes at the Neptune’s Staircase, a series of eight locks at Banavie, followed by a final transit through the Corpach Sea Lock into tidal waters. A 30-mile coastal leg completes the trip to Oban. The canal offers extensive infrastructure for land-based recreation, including walking and biking paths, alongside historic sites like Urquhart Castle.
