Bruno interviews Bruce Hayne, organizer of the inaugural Fall Vancouver Floating Boat Show, held at Hampton Cove marina in Ladner, BC.Watch The show runs on the water rather than indoors, contrasting with the January/February edition at Granville Island. Hampton Cove recently dredged its basin, installed new docks, and wired every slip with GFI electrical. Hayne reports strong attendance and positive exhibitor feedback, crediting favorable fall weather and the ability for visitors to board boats, take sea trials, and demo watercraft including an electric E-Foil that runs three hours per charge. Bruno notes the outdoor setting lets prospective buyers experience boats as they would actually be used. The show runs through Sunday at 6 p.m. Hayne confirms a three-year agreement with the marina, making this the first of what organizers intend as an annual fall event. The village of Ladner is mentioned as an additional draw for visitors traveling from a distance.
