The Beneteau 31 is a fractional sloop designed by Groupe Finot and built by Beneteau from 2002 to the present. It features a fin with bulb and spade rudder hull, measures 9.7 meters LOA, has a 3.4-meter beam, a 1.8-meter draft, and displaces 4051 kg. A shoal draft version is available with a 4.25-foot draft. The Sailing Doodles Podcast noted that a 2006 Beneteau model, representing the $100,000 price point, can be a well-equipped, turn-key liveaboard cruiser with amenities like water makers, solar arches, and dinghies, suitable for Caribbean passage-making.11:59
