The Dehler Yachts 34, originally named the Optima 106, is a 10.1-meter fractional sloop designed by E. G. Van de Stadt and built by Dehler from 1983 to 1993. This model, with a 3.4-meter beam and 1.8-meter draft, was conceived as a cruising-oriented version of the DB1-2 designs and built to the IOR 3/4 ton rule. The Dehler 34 revives the fast cruiser concept, balancing performance sailing with family cruising comfort.1:16 Its construction includes a carbon fiber structural grid, or "spider," for hull rigidity and a wide hull-to-deck joint to prevent torsion and creaking, aiming for minimal maintenance.2:16 The 2016 model, launched at the Cannes Yachting Festival, reflects a modern aesthetic shift by Dehler, following the introduction of the Dehler Yachts 42.0:14
