Design & history

The Discovery 48 is a 48-foot sailboat also known as the Revelation 480 (2018). It was renamed in 2021 to 48 L (Raised saloon) and 48 R (Lowered saloon), with Stephen Jones reported as designer for those versions. A swing keel version is marketed as the Southerly 480 and as the Discovery 48S.
