The O'day 25 is a masthead sloop sailboat model, designed by Hunt, Associates, and John Deknatel, and built by O'Day Corp. and Bangor Punta Corp. from 1975 to 1984. The 7.6-meter (24.9-foot) sailboat has a 2.4-meter (7.9-foot) beam and a displacement of 1,817 kg (4,006 lbs).3:26 Most O'day 25s were delivered with a keel/centerboard hull, though a fixed keel version was also available, and a Yanmar inboard diesel was an optional engine.4:13 The O'day 25 was one of the company's most successful models, remaining in production for nearly a decade. Lady K Sailing notes that the fiberglass hulls of 1970s and 1980s production boats like the O'day 25 remain structurally sound, but bolted-on components like sails, rigging, wiring, engines, cushions, and hardware degrade over time.1:36
