The Prout 38 is a cutter-rigged catamaran with twin keels, designed by Robert Underwood and David Feltham, and built by Prout Catamarans since 1998. It measures 11.6 meters LOA, with a 5.3-meter beam, a 1.0-meter draft, and displaces 6500 kg. Aboard *Supernova*, a Prout 38, the crew undertook a two-week refit, installing a one-way check valve in the bilge pump hose to prevent flooding after an automatic pump failed.2:11 They welded new stainless steel tie-down tabs for their dinghy and repaired a cabin door to accommodate Starlink cable routing.3:29 Other projects included replacing a stern light, splicing marine-grade tinned wire for navigation lights, and mounting new speakers to the mast.26:07 The crew also prepared for a passage to the San Blas Islands by transferring fuel and installing a new jib.54:48
