What this video covers

A boat owner performs various interior refit tasks and storm-proofing checks during a long-term renovation. The owner installs a temporary gas supply for a stove using a 6kg Twinnie bottle, with plans to eventually route a permanent 13kg cylinder from the stern via copper tubing. To protect the bulkhead from heat and grease, the owner plans to install an aluminium heat shield. The refit also includes installing interior lighting in the engine compartment and sail locker, and insulating the hull with 19mm Armaflex to improve cold-weather habitability. The owner prepares to reupholster existing cushions and fabricate new ones, noting the need for sewing skills. During severe storms with wind gusts reaching 140 km/h, the owner inspects the vessel and confirms that the solar panel mounting system remains secure and vibration-free. Future technical work will involve servicing the C-TREC autopilot system or potentially upgrading to Raymarine components, alongside installing an AIS transponder and navigation instruments.
