I sail. Shearwater is my boat. I built this index because finding specific knowledge inside YouTube channels — a diesel fix, how a crew actually rode out heavy weather, what cruising really costs — meant scrubbing through hours of video and hoping.

The index is automated: software works through every channel daily, building a detailed picture of what each one is actually about. A small group of contributors who sail are being brought on gradually to curate and review channels. Their judgement makes it better than mine alone could.
