While docked in Stralsund, the crew experiences recurring refrigerator failures and takes a train to Berlin for a city tour. Continuing 10 miles to Barhoft, the vessel moors at the hammerhead dock. In Barhoft, the crew encounters the Sea Shepherd vessel, which is actively retrieving abandoned ghost nets from the Baltic. They also host a local retired chef, Wolfgang, who prepares fresh smoked mackerel in the boat's galley. The crew plans to continue their transit toward the Kiel Canal, weighing options between further German ports or heading northwest toward Denmark.
