The Beneteau Idylle 1150 is a 1983–1988 masthead sloop designed by Jean Berret, derived from the First 35. It measures 11.5 meters LOA with a 3.7-meter beam and a 1.3-meter draft, displacing 5200 kg. Aboard *Adventureman Dan*, a 1984 Beneteau Idéale 11.5-meter monohull named *Adventureborne* was sold in Oriental, North Carolina, after 10,000 nautical miles of sailing from the U.S. East Coast through the Bahamas and Eastern Caribbean to Grenada. The owner initially listed the boat at $65,000–$70,000, then reduced it to $45,000–$50,000, and ultimately sold it for approximately $35,000. The owner noted that many prospective buyers lacked prior sailboat ownership experience and were deterred by minor cosmetic issues.
