Hva denne videoen dekker

During a rig refit on a Cape George Cutter 36, the owners discovered the mast was offset by 1.25 inches to starboard, causing the spar to touch the mast partners.9:21 To diagnose the issue, they tuned the rig using a weighted halyard to check for vertical alignment and rake, confirming the mast step was not centered.6:43 After removing the mast with a crane, they chiseled out the old epoxy, filled the original bolt holes, and re-drilled the mast step 0.625 inches to port to center the spar.18:05 The crew also took measurements for new standing rigging and sails, noting that outboard chain plates installed during a previous refit required adjustments to wire lengths.5:24 They plan to use Spartite to seal the mast partners once the spar is re-stepped.16:27 The project demonstrates that verifying mast alignment at both the partners and the step is essential before ordering custom standing rigging.
