The crew sources replacement bolts and a new gasket from a local marine shop to complete the repair. The maintenance session also includes changing the engine oil, oil filters, and fuel filters. The crew explains the function of the seawater impeller in the engine's cooling system, noting that a failed impeller prevents seawater from circulating through the heat exchanger, leading to rapid engine overheating. Careful torque application prevents bolt shearing during reassembly.
