The C&C Yachts 27 MK I is a masthead sloop designed by Rob Ball and C&C Design, built by C&C Yachts from 1970 to 1972. It features a fin keel with a spade rudder, measures 8.3 meters LOA, 2.8 meters in beam, and draws 1.3 meters with a displacement of 2349 kg. The C&C 27 series, including Marks I through IV, was a successful model for C&C Yachts, with nearly 1000 units built over approximately 10 years. The Mark I was produced as hulls 1-167.8:36 C&C Yachts gained a reputation for performance-oriented production sailboats using balsa-cored hulls, a construction method also used in the C&C 27.8:05 When considering older C&C models, a professional survey is recommended to check for water intrusion in cored hulls, especially around hardware.9:27
