The C&C Yachts 35-1(REDWING 35) is a masthead sloop designed by Cuthbertson, Cassian, and C&C Design, built from 1969 to 1973. Originally named the REDWING 35 and built by Hinterhoeller Ltd. as a development of the INVADER 35, it was renamed the C&C 35 after Hinterhoeller merged with C&C Yachts. The Mk I features a scimitar-shaped rudder, an integral spray rail on the cabin top, a starboard-side galley aft, and a port-side quarter berth/navigation station. It has a solid glass hull with a balsa-cored deck, a fiberglass cabin sole, and minimal bilge area. The C&C 35-1 has an LOA of 10.5 meters, a beam of 3.2 meters, a draft of 1.6 meters, and a displacement of 4762 kg. C&C Yachts, known for performance-oriented production sailboats, utilized balsa-cored hulls to increase stiffness and reduce weight in models like the C&C 35.
