Design

The designer stated the ballast/displacement ratio was intended to be 40%. Ballast and displacement numbers shared across most manufacturers' literature are considered unrealistic.

Production

Originally built by Hurley Marine. After Hurley Marine went out of business, built by South Coast Marine, then Ravensail (who called their version the HURLEY 22R). A few were later built by Hurlwind (1988-1990). Some were also built under license in Holland (HURLEY 700).
