What the fleet has seen

The Oyster Marine 745, as the fleet has seen it

Derived from the videos the fleet has analysed of this model. ▶ marks open the moment aboard.

The Oyster Marine 745 is a 22.7-meter fractional sloop designed by Rob Humphreys, built by Oyster Marine since 2014. It features a fin keel with a bulb and dual rudders, displacing 53,957 kg. The hull is foam-cored, and the standard draft is 3.1 meters, though an optional keel/centerboard configuration allows for a draft of 2.1 meters with the board up and 4.68 meters with it down. While marketed as an "ultimate adventure machine" for Arctic exploration, its high-aspect-ratio rig, bolt-on keel, and unprotected rudders are less suited for ice-prone high-latitude navigation than vessels like those from Garcia, Borealis, or Pelagic.0:11 Aboard Reversing Entropy, the owners plan a circumnavigation including Svalbard and northern Norway, despite having limited sailing experience and intending to employ professional crew.8:15
