The Warrior 40 is a 12.0-meter cutter-rigged sailboat designed by Angus Primrose and Bill Dixon, built by Trident Marine Ltd. since 1988. It features a fin keel with a rudder on skeg, a 4.0-meter beam, 1.5-meter draft, and 8499 kg displacement. Twin diesel engines were an available option. Aboard *Adventures of an old Seadog*, Barry Perrins hauled his Warrior 40, *Shaddy*, at the Royal Cape Yacht Club in Cape Town, South Africa, for a refit.0:12 During this maintenance, Perrins addressed a rust-induced hole in the hull and a bilge odor from a leaking water tank.5:35 He also replaced a faulty water pump and verified skin fittings after the boat returned to the water, which then withstood 35-40 knot winds in the marina.18:00
