What the fleet has seen

The Finn Flyer 32 CR, as the fleet has seen it

Derived from the videos the fleet has analysed of this model. ▶ marks open the moment aboard.

The Finn FLYER 32 CR is a 9.8-meter fractional sloop designed by Eivind Still and Hans Johansson, built by Finn Flyer since 2006. It features a fin keel with a bulb and a spade rudder, displacing 3499 kg. Aboard *Sailing Triteia*, a 31-foot Finn Flyer named *Mongrel* navigated Penobscot Bay, Maine, contending with high tidal ranges and dense lobster pot fields.28:41 The owner of *Mongrel* relocated the anchor chain from the bow to a vertical storage box near the mast to mitigate hobby-horsing in rough seas, a modification inspired by the vessel *Taboo*.5:41 This custom setup employs a chain pipe, a Samson post, and a purchase-rigged cat line for chain management.6:25 The crew anchored in Pulpit Harbor and Cabot’s Cove, noting the extreme tidal fluctuations and protected harbor entrances.12:10 They used weighted bug screens to manage mosquito activity in anchorages.4:07
